CARING HANDS MINISTRY

– A Food and Clothing Pantry

Providing services to Wildwood and Northern Sumter County since 2005. Caring Hands offers at no cost: food, clothing and small housewares assistance on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday every month from 9:30 AM to 12:15 PM to all legal residents and citizens. You may complete your client registration any Tuesday from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM.

First Baptist Early Learning Center

Schedule 
The Early Learning Center is a year round program. Open from Monday – Friday from 7 AM – 6 PM. Their Preschool does offer a half day program which runs from 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM and the full day program runs from 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
Criteria 
The Day Care is open to children 6 Weeks Old – 3 Years Old. The Preschool is available for children 3 Years Old – 5 Years Old.

While our Oxford center does not currently offer maternity housing on-site, we can connect you with trusted partners in Florida who provide this vital service.

  • Good Counsel was founded in 1985 to help homeless, pregnant women in dire need. Their goal is to help you have your baby in a safe, loving home while providing the support you need to get back on your feet. They have helped thousands of women like yourself for over 35 years, and look forward to supporting you in any way possible.

Need help with food, medical care, or temporary cash assistance? The DCF offers programs like:

WIC – Nutrition Support for Pregnant Women & Children

The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program helps pregnant and breastfeeding women access nutritious food, formula, and health education. Eligible if you are:
